Office Policy

What clients can expect from me:

Clients are treated with respect and dignity.

I provide clients with a competent, professional massage each time they come for an appointment.

Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.

I customize my massage to meet the client's needs.

I perform services for which I am qualified (physically and emotionally) and able to do, and refer to appropriate specialists when work is not within my scope of practice.

I do not diagnose or prescribe.

I respect all clients regardless of their age, gender, national origin, race, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, body type, and political affiliation, state of health or personal habits.

Clients are draped with a sheet at all times during the massage. Only parts of the body being worked on are exposed at any time. The genitals are never exposed or massaged.

Privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

I keep accurate records and review charts before each session.

I charge a fair price for my services.

I stay current with information and techniques by reading, receiving regular massage and taking at least one continuing education class per year.

My equipment and supplies are clean and safe.

I am available to clients between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. by phone, and clients may leave a message after hours.

I return calls within 24 hours unless I am out of town.

Payment is due at the time of services unless other arrangements have been made prior to treatment. I accept cash, checks, credit cards/debit cards and insurance when pre approved.

If I need to cancel an appointment I do so within 24 hours whenever possible. If an emergency arises and I cannot keep an appointment, I provide a 50 percent discount with a clients next massage.

I provide direct billing for insurance, in medically necessary instances with prior approval through the insurance company and a prescription/referral from a Dr. and will handle the necessary paper work.

I offer a 100% guaranteed massage service. If you are not satisfied with the massage you received I will refund your money.

My requirements of clients:

Massage sessions begin and end at scheduled times. Massage begun late due to the client arriving late end at the appointed time and are full price. If I am running late due to another clients session I will give you the full time.

Be clean, having showered or bathed the same day as the massage session.

Do not eat a heavy meal two hours prior to the massage.

Be present (not under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

Clients provide a health history, and update it when necessary.

If cancellation is necessary, please give 24 hour's notice. Otherwise you will be charged for the appointment unless it can be filled. Emergency cancellations are determined at the therapist's discretion. If the client consistently misses appointments, I reserve the right to refuse further appointments or ask for payment when appointment is made.

Payment is expected at the time service is rendered. There will be a $15 service charge on all returned checks, and any further massage sessions will be required to be paid in cash up front before the session.

Sexual harassment of any kind is not tolerated. If the therapist's safety feels compromised, the session stops immediately, and full payment for the service will be expected.

My office is a nonsmoking environment, you may smoke on the porch where there is an ash tray available(keep it neat and clean please - no butts in the yard).

Please turn off all pagers and cell phones while in the treatment rooms.
